Brief Answer: Could be due Xarelto . Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been taking Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) for prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)and known to have cancer of prostate since last 10 years. You have noticed blood clots in your urine and passing red coloured urine(Hematuria). This is most likely to be due to side effects of Xarelto that you are taking. Please discontinue the drug for couple of days and observe for any change in your symptoms . Since you are known to have Cancer of the Prostate ,Please consult qualified Urologist for revaluation and get following tests done. 1) Serum PSA. 2) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen and Trans Rectal Ultrasound scanning to rule out recurrence of cancer of the prostate. Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you Thanks and Regards. Dr.Patil.
