Brief Answer:
Blood in mouth can be due gum bleeding..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

This is Dr.Honey Arora answering this question..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

It is a bit un-clear in your question that you are taking oral anti-coagulants or not..
So I will answer you keeping in mind both the conditions:

1.In case if you are on Oral Anti-Coagulants then seeing blood in mouth can be due to bleeding from gums.

This is because the anti coagulants increase the clotting time of blood and prevents early clot formation leading to increased bleeding on even slight stimulation..
If there is even mild inflammation in gums due to infection then it can lead to bleeding while at times mild irritation of gums even in absence of infection can cause bleeding..

Mouth breathers tend to suffer more from bleeding from gums..

2. In case if you are not on anti-coagulants then also the most common cause of blood in mouth can be due to bleeding from gums..

Nothing to worry as both conditions are treatable..

Kindly provide me a clear reply that you are on anti-coagulants or not so that I can guide you better towards treatment..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..

Brief Answer:
Consult your treating physician..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome Again..

As you are taking Oral Anticoagulants, the blood in mouth seems most probably due to bleeding from gums..
Still no need to worry and just consult your treating physician and explain the immediate symptoms so that he can evaluate you clinically and if required he can alter the dose of Xarelto..

If bleeding from gums is confirmed as the cause then you should also consult a dentist once and if some infection is found in the gums Scaling can help in reducing infection followed by gum paint for massaging the gums..
Cold water rinses will further help..
Use a soft toothbrush to brush your teeth to minimize any level of trauma to the gums..
Take a soft and nutritious diet..

Wishing you a good health..

We at HEALTHCARE MAGIC are always there to help you..

If your query is solved, kindly write a positive review and give a Five star rating as a token of appreciation..
