Hemorrhoids are your problem, red dots seems to be a blood.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Red dots on the surface of the stool are most likely blood. The most probable reason of blood on the surface of the stool are hemorrhoids.
Hemorrhoids are nothing more than enlarged veins in the anal area. Such enlargement appears due to increased pressure in this veins. When you have constipation, push hard on stool or even lift heavy objects, the pressure rises and the veins get enlarged. You may have also itching around the anus with this condition.
Small hemorrhoids, which give bleeding only from time to time, can be improved with diet and proper stool passage. However once a hemorrhoids appear, wont vanish without surgical procedure.
Here is what you should do to get rid of bleeding:
- improve your diet (this is the most important thing) - increase fiber rich products and mineral water intake
- try to perform some physical activity (it greatly stimulates bowels to work)
- wash your anus after every stool
- do not push hard on stool
- try OTC suppositories for hemorrhoids
This should help in a week or so. If not, than you should consult general surgeon or proctologist and have rectal examination.
Colonoscopy should be done only if the bleeding will be recurring or/and you will have weight loss, stool patter change, abdominal pain, blood mixed with stool.
Otherwise, colonoscopy is not necessary (you are young person and the risk of any serious issue is very low)
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
