Question: I have intestinal pain and blood in the stool. The blood is red and I have a great deal of pain across my lower abdomen. It does not appear to be from an external hemorrhoid.

Brief Answer:
Blood could be from lower gut

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Bright red coloured blood in stool Is from lower gut lesions like Polyp in colon, Internal haemorrhoid etc.
If pain is present after passing or while passing stool, it could be due to Fissure in ano, a crack in the anus.

If abdominal pain is present along with bleeding per rectum, you should consult your doctor and get a Colonoscopy.
The diagnosis will be confirmed.

Please take high fiber diet, drink plenty of liquids, eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
Your stool should be soft.

Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
