What Causes Blood In Stool And Abdominal Bloating After Colonoscopy?
Question: I am 30 years old and just had a colonoscopy as well as an endoscopy on Friday 6 days ago. this was exploratory due to bleeding during a BM and some discomfort after eating. My concerns are I have had chest pain, tightening, pressure (waking me up out of sleep) and my stomach looks like i am 4 months pregnant. I don't have allot of pain in my stomach chest uncomfortable. Also my breathing is some what compromised, not enough to keep me from daily life noticeable if eating, drinking or exercising. Please help I am not sure if this is all normal after these procedures. I have been running a low grade fever and a sore throat so not sure if I am getting a cold or the sore throat is due to endo.
Brief Answer:
Normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This is usual after such procedures since lot of air is insuflated during colonoscopy and endoscopy and it may persist for two weeks. You should avoid overeating, have smaller meals, have boiled food, milk products and avoid food that causes bloating. Wish you good health. Regards
