What Causes Blurry Vision, Floaters And Left Eye Pain After Femto-Lasik Laser Surgery?
Question: I had femto Lasik done 6 months back. The vison is not very clear.
Very unique thing: sever drumming headache for me and sister immediately after operation. Unbearable headache that lasted 10 hours. My eyes were watering for 10-12 hours after the operation, even if I opened the eyes to put medicine the tears would pour out.
Below are the problems:
1) Since one month lot of floaters. Standard black color and transparent ones. How to stop more floaters. It makes vision worse. Why new floaters. I madea menak note of flaoters before surgery there were very few. Now there are so many that if I look at bright screen or the sky I cant see properly.
2) The left eye (top part) hurts when i accidentally touch, even if mildly. eg when washing face
3) Severe dryness in morning. Perfect before operation
4) Still see halo around lights
5) See Silver dots sometimes randomly
6) Silver lines shooting out of a perimeter of an imaginary circle, when I sneeze (very occationally)
7) Residual/Cylinder power is still left
8) Night vision is not good.
9) One Red veins in right eye is visible always after the operation
10) My axix was 180 before the operation, not it has changed after the operation. Why has axis changed. What it means.
11) The doctor said that, cylinder power good for reading in future as I am 36 is till help if I get + power in future

After six months most of the problems should have gone away. Still as they are there,we have to deal with them.
Floaters are part of your pre existing myopia (I presume pre operatively).They are there and will keep changing. If they trouble you too much, vitamin C 500mg once a day for six weeks may help.
Tender spots will be helped by anti inflammatory eye drops,like keterolac drops thrice a day.
Dryness is helped by lubricant eye drops, which are to continue for some time.
The silver lines and dots are slightly rare and may be helped by multivitamins.
Cylindical power if left, is usually left deliberately and will remain. This may be due to pre operative refraction,which has not been provided.
