What Causes Body Ache And Fever While Treating Brain Tumor?
Question: For the past two days I have gotten very achy all over maybe a small fever. I also have a noncancer Brain tumor and I had 5.5 weeks of radiation and that ended 1 month ago,so I have a headache all day. The achy is new!
Brief Answer:
Hello. This sounds like typical flu symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hello. The flu typically produces symptoms like fever, chills, body aches, headaches, and sometimes nausea.
I don't think any of this is related to your brain tumor or the radiation therapy.
Tamiflu, if given within the first 48 hours of the onset of symptoms, can shorten the duration of the illness, but, other than that, rest, plenty of fluids, and ibuprofen or Tylenol is about all you can do for this until it subsides.
