Question: My husband has been having body aches with and extremely bad headache. Low grade fever off and on. Sao d he feels the stiffness from his lower back up his spine to his head. If he moves his head pounds

Hello and welcome,

I am concerned about the combination of your husband's symptoms, in particular the fever, severe headache and neck-back stiffness. The general body aches can be symptoms of flu and other infections, but the concerning part here is the neck stiffness. There is the possibility of meningitis. It is uncommon, so most likely that is not the cause, BUT, it is very important, given his symptoms, that he be evaluated immediately to make sure that is not the problem. He should go to the ER where he can be examined and labs done.
