Question: My husband experiences what he calls "the shakes". He feels like his insides are quivering but I don't see anything. It lasts up to 12 hours. It happens several time a month. He gets very restless and agitated when this is going on. MRI & EEG are normal. Have you ever heard of anything like this? XXXXXXX .

Brief Answer:
Side effects of long use of narcotic pain reliever

Detailed Answer:
Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms your husband is suffering
Anyway I don't think you should be worried too much because it seems your husband is suffering from symptoms from long use of narcotic pain reliever.
You should contact your neurologist and discuss about my opinion.
It is recommended that you start replacement therapy and decrease the dose slowly.
(Diazepam, vitaminotherapy)
Hope my answer will in the right treatment of you husband
Wish you all the best
