What Causes Borderline Creatinine Levels In Blood?

Question: I have just received a phone call that a urine sample shows some blood. They are having me have a kidney ultrasound. My bloodwork at my physical is good except for a borderline creatinine level. Is it possible that a cyst is causing this?
Brief Answer:
blood in urine is mostly from the urine passage
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Blood in urine can come from kidney cysts. More so if there are multiple cysts like in polycystic kidney disease. other causes of blood in urine include-
urine infection
stones in the urine passage
crystaluria
urine bladder problems
and nephropathies ( kidney diseases )
to find out the exact cause we should repeat the test to see if the blood is persistent or not. ultrasound is the single most important test to rule out any significant disease.
there are many other investigations which can help once we have some direction after ultrasound
inform me of the report once it is done
best wishes
