What Causes Breast Pain Before Menstruation?

Question: My daughter is 50 years has pain in left breast mostly during periods but she has pain other times says
do not feel good has lot of allergies uses many natural suppliments mostly vegetarian i need simple advice i canot
give her personal information if you can advice i say thank you she can be very private

Welcome to HCM,

Pain in breast just before period or during first few days of period is due to progesterone hormone sensitivity.

If there are no lumps in the breast felt or if there is no discharge from nipple she need not worry about it being anything serious such as breast cancer.

Natural or herbal products can have hormones in them which can cause a variety of reactions. It would be best to use them in consultation with a physician.

For breast pain just prior to period she could try evening primrose oil if not already taking it.
