Question: Slammed my middle left finger in car door when closing the door. Now completely black and blue.

Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

It is possible that you may have fractured the small bone in the finger.

I suggest you tape that finger to the adjacent index finger at two places to keep it stable. Apply ice. Keep the limb elevated. Take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 3 days. Get an Xray to look for a fracture and do iliac it for my review. Based on that we can decide the appropriate treatment.
