What Causes Build Up Of Pale Yellow Discharge Under Clitoris?
Question: Hi, I have just noticed a build up of pale yellow thick dry discharge under my clitoral hood, I'm not sure how long it has been there, I have had slight itching from time to time over the past few months, apart from that I haven't noticed anything unusual, however admittedly I don't look at myself that closely and am probably not very thorough with cleaning... after cleaning it just now, there is one small white dot right inside the clitoris hood that will not wash out. I haven't had my period in 6 months and I'm worried that it may be related.. I haven't had sex for almost a year, but when I last did it was unprotected so I'm not sure that I am clean. I'm wondering if this is possibly an std...Thankyou.

Need few more details.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Secretions do tend to build up under the clitoral hood.
That is a natural crevice that often escapes cleaning, if you are not meticulous about that area.
The mild itching could be due to a subclinical infection too, it explains the discharge and the itching.
Could you upload a picture of the dot ?
That would enable me to form a better diagnosis.
Again, is it normal for you not to menstruate for 6 months ?
What is your height and weight, have you had regular cycles before ?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

Previous to this year I have always had normal monthly menstrual cycles, I had two cycles this year in January and in April.. I have been going through a lot of changes in my life this year physically and mentally so I thought perhaps I was just finding balance again.. But it's been a very long time now.
I way around 55-60 kilos and am average height for my age. I live a healthy active lifestyle.
I will upload a picture of the dot now but it's not super clear as my camera is not very good quality trying to take on this angle up close!
Thankyou very much.

Brief Answer:
HAVE AN EVALUATION
Detailed Answer:
Yes, once you send a picture, I would be able to evaluate the lesion better.
Regarding the menstrual delay, you should have an evaluation.
6 months is a long time.
I would suggest the following -
Internal exam by a Gynecologist.
Pelvic ultrasound scan done transvaginally
Hormonal levels - FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin, OGTT, DHEAS, Free testosterone, Lipid profile.
Take care.
