Question: Since early November I have been experiencing hemoridal symptoms. suppositories helped at first and I also used topical medication prescribed by my doctor but it hasn't helped. Now I have seemed to have developed a rash and it has a burning sensation. What do I do for relief and do you have any idea what it could be?

You may need a detailed surgical consulation and sigmoidoscopy or PR exam

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Based on the history you have shared, if it is not settling with topical creams and suppositories, you need to have a surgeons review in detail with a detailed per rectal examination or may be sigmoidoscopy along with blood screen for any sign of blood loss. It can be some peri anal tear or a tract formation from your gut to the skin.

Even hemorrhoids can be of various degree based on he severity and it needs a surgical evaluation to decide for whether in your case it needs a surgical repair or not.

Meanwhile keep using suppositories along with stool softeners like lactulose suspensions and don't let constipation to kick in as it will not only increase troublesome of your symptoms but also may cause the actual lesion to expand in severity. Glycerine suppositories can be continued until then. Avoid spicy or heavy diets and increase fibre containing diets.

Hoping you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
