What Causes Burning Sensation Around Upper Abdomen And Heart Burn After Taking Rablet?

Question: I was diagnised with erosive gastritis 3 months back after an endoscopy and i had taken Rablet d 20 for a month once a day before breakfast based on doctors prescription. However after a month i continued getting burning sensation around my upper abdomen associated with heartburn and it becomes worst when i start eating something (not after eating). I consulted the same Gastrentologist again and doctor suggested me to take Rablet (plain) whenever i feel this burning sensation. I have been taking this since last one month. The burning sensation subsides afer i take the tablet for a week and comes back again. The doctor has told me that i have acid reflux disease and i can take this tablet for lifelong whenever i feel this burning sensation.
I want to know if it is absolutely fine to take this tablet for lifelong? Does it not have any sideeffects?
I read somewhere that having these tablets for long time leads to kidney stones, cancer etc? is that true? Lastly if i leave the burning sensation as it is without taking medicine - will that have a negative consequences? Would request you to help me get the answers for these.

Firstly , Rablet has to be taken daily and there is no proven side effects in people , therefore for curing gastritis it helps good .
Sucralfil O Liquid three times a day as it lines the coating of stomach thereby preventing acid erosion of mucosa.
Avoid Spicy foods .

If left untreated despite burning sensation , it cause much more worsening of disease and cause trouble in near future .
Negative consequences like infection and inflammation leads to decreased appetite and weight loss .

Your reply means that there are no side effects even on the long term use of Rablet and it gives me some peace:)

So do i need to take the tablet every day for life long? I am a little confused as the gastroentologist suggested it to be taken when i have the burning sensation. Could you please confirm on when and how long do i need to consume both Tablet and Sucrafil ?

I will note to avoid spicy foods however is there any other thing which are not to be consumed or which worsens the acid reflux like chewing gum, alchohol, milk/coffe/tea etc? Could you please let me know what needs to be avoided and what helps as a home remedy to reduce this issue?

Friend there is nothing to worry as Rablet and Sucrafil is not a life long treatment ,
These medications should be taken minimum 3months to cure gastritis , later you can stop medications .

Lifestyle modifications (home remedies)

1) Avoid Spicy Food
2) Avoid coffee/tea/corbonated soft drinks
3) Minimize Alcohol intake
4) Drink plenty of water
5) Avoid Oily foods

Just wanted to make sure that you are aware that i had taken Rablet T based on the doctors prescription for a month once daily before breakfast 2 months before and after that Dr has not done the endoscopy or any test to check if the erosive gastritis is cured. So i assume that the original gastritis is taken care and i need not worry about it. COuld you please provide your feedback on this?

And i understand that i need to take the tablet and gel for 3 months but also it will be helpful if you can please tell me how many times a day and when (befoer after meal) do i take the rablet and sucrafil please

Thanks for followup Mr XXXXXXX .,

I understood you took Rablet as prescribed by your doctor and i would say that You should take Medications as follows for another one month and to do endoscopy after a month to check the progress of gastritis
1) Rablet Tablet has to be taken twice a day ( half hour before food )
2) Sucrafil Syrup has to be taken 10ml thrice daily 5mins before food to coat stomach lining and to reduce acid and to neutralise it.

As you have taken medications for 2months without interuption , i assume you are 90 percent good in curing gastritis.
