What Causes Burning Sensation In The Neck After An Exercise Session?
Question: I am 68 years old. the last 2 times after I got off the treadmill, about 3-5 minutes later I felt a burning/tingling in the side/back of my neck on the left side. I did have a fan blowing in that direction but I was concerned whether this could be heart related. I do not have any blockages, etc
Brief Answer:
Not likely to be heart-related...

The events are most likely NOT related to the heart… Symptoms related to heart appear during the effort and are relieved with rest… However, at this age, the wise option is to go for a supervised Treadmill Exercise Electrocardiogram (TMT) – more to rule out than to rule in…
The features may mean cervical spondylosis… An orthopaedic assessment and assistance can help… MRI of the neck spine may be necessary….
In the meantime, rest, hot packs, Over The Counter (OTC) Non-Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) like Ibuprofen can help / Muscle relaxants help
Good luck
God bless you
