Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Ligament laxity is best dealt by strengthening excercises of muscles . Your clicking and catching at the base of skull on rotation and when nod head seems likely to be due to cervical spondylosis. It can be confirmed by x ray of cervical spine. Glucosamine can be of help. Your ear problems seems unrelated to injury. For this you can consult ENT surgeon. You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

THe CT scan shows Moderate degeneration of the Atlanto Axiel ? Is that something that would cause the catching and clicking at the base of the skull.

would Prolo Therapy Help This condition at all. Or is fusion the only option for surgical treatment, I have done PT and Chiro without relief

Brief Answer:
Keep fusion as last option

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Prolotherapy is likely to give relief to some extend. I think glucosamine will be helpful. Fusion will severely restrict your neck movements so I will advise to use surgery as last option. Mecobalamine is helpful. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. If pain not relieved by ibuprofen then strong analgesic such as Tramadol can be used

If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
