What Causes Change In Bowel Functions, Nausea And Loose Stools?

Question: I have experienced a significant change in bowel function over past several weeks. Multiple episodes of looses stool, up to ten times a day and overnight. Increased nausea mostly at night and early morning with severe dry heaves, no vomiting. Have reduced diet and intake significantly to bland dry foods and BRAT diet with no change. No weight loss. I am not pregnant.
Brief Answer:
Take loperamide!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.
I have rebid this information fully. This sounds like irritable bowel syndrome with predominance of hypermotility. Take loperamide as many as 4tablets daily. This will control the diarrhea and allow us to follow up and understand what is going on. I will suggest you follow up with a gastroenterologist. He should start With basic stool exams and follow up with more complex exams including motility studies to establish the exact cause and treat accordingly.
Keep me posted about your progress and I will provide more guidance and insights. Do continue with the diet modifications and increased fluid intake.
