Brief Answer:
I don't think so.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

Thanks for follow up, and sorry for delay in answer.

Please provide me few more details:
1. What was your usual cycle length before?
2. How many days you are getting early for past 3 months?
3. Is this associated with any change in the amount of bleeding?
4. Any other unusual symptoms like abdominal pain, vomiting, vaginal discharge etc?
5. Any recent events like new drug intake, physical or mental stress?
6. Do you have any medical illnesses or on regular drugs?

Most of the times, this results from temporary imbalance in the sex hormonal levels which will get corrected on its own and will not affect fertility.

Kindly get back with details.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Better to evaluate.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Thanks for the information given.

Though the change in cycle length is not much significant (as it is only 2 days), since the amount of bleeding is increased, it will be fine if you can see a gynecologist for evaluation. Passage of clots indicate that the bleeding is severe, and need evaluation for causes like fibroids, endometrial hyperplasia, endometriosis etc. All these conditions can cause menorrhagia with cycle irregularities and pain.

After physical examination, you may be asked for an ultrasound abdomen.
Meanwhile, include enough green leafy veggies and fruits in your diet; also, it is better to take iron-folic acid tablets once daily for few months to replace iron loss.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have no further questions, you can close the discussion and rate the answer; otherwise I will happy to help.
Thank you.

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX you have been very helpful... I wanted to add the fact that i was taking some diet tea to loose wight, then i stoped and started taking some prenatal vitamines without precriptions though.. Could those be a cause of whats happening now? I also dont haveurge for sex or enjoy sex either and that bothers me

Brief Answer:
This is unlikely the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

The diet/supplements you mentioned can not cause menorrhagia.
Anyhow, rapid weight loss/inadequate diet can cause anemia and endocrine disturbances resulting in problems like menstrual irregularities, loss of interest in sex etc.

So, while arranging for an appointment with your gynecologist, kindly try to have a healthy diet with adequate calories, proteins fruits and veggies; both over and under nutrition is to be avoided.

Hope now you got cleared.
Take care.
Thank you.
