Brief Answer:
It can be in some cases

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,

It is very individual and depends on circumstances.

In case of acute heart attack, the stent is placed only in vessel, which caused heart attack, if there is another vessel with blockage, it is stented after some time, after the recovery from heart attack.

Even in case when there is no heart attack, sometimes there is a need to wait for some time, and not put all stents together. If two major vessels are blocked in their proximal part, it is dangerous to put two stents at once, as there can be serious complications. They put one, after some time, they put another. Thus heart is more protected from serious and life threatening complications.

So I think your doctor had a reason to delay the other stent.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
