No AIDS OR EBSTEIN, Continue ppi inhibitors

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

As per your clinical details, most likely cause of your chronic pharyngitis is-

Acid peptic disease- acid reflux or regurgitation of partially digested stomach contents can damage the mucosa of pharynx leading to pharyngitis.

In your case, as per your endoscopy, there is a proven cause of pharyngitis due to acid reflux.

I suggest you to consult ENT surgeon and get dosage schedule of mucosal protector like sucralfate gel and ppi inhibitors.

Meanwhile, please follow the precautions- acidity can be relieved with non spicy diet, avoid smoking, alcohol, fatty diet, do exercises, keep 3 hours interval between food and sleep, take small 6 meals instead of large 3. keep your head elevated in sleeping posture by supporting extra pillows(preventing regurgitation of stomach contents).

Do not worry, you do not have HIV (no signs of fever, weight loss, no lymph node enlargement or oral candidiasis) or ebstein (no lymph node enlargement, hepatomegaly or tonsillitis).

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
