What Causes Clear Vaginal Discharge In An Elderly Woman?

default
Posted on Mon, 29 May 2017
Question: I am 61 yrs old. I have a vaginal discharge -no color -slight smell (not much). I do not have sexual relations. I have had this a long time ago -think I took Difucan or Nyststin? Can I use an over the count medication such as Clotrimazole vaginal cream 2% or what about Metronidazale gel?

Sorry for incorrect spelling. Use " I know" instead "I no" and " I am assuming I have "I have" instead of "I am".

Brief Answer:
Clotrimazole vaginal cream

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Vaginal discharge which is colorless and odorless is unlikely to be pathological.
If there is itching or irritation, then you can apply the Clotrimazole vaginal cream 2% locally.
Otherwise, only for discharge, no treatment is required.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
