Brief Answer:
To check for diabetes
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your wife's concerns about multiple health issues.
Following is my reply:
1) She needs to get fasting blood sugar tested done to check diabetes as these symptoms occur mainly in diabetic patients.
2) Tiredness, bodyache are due to high blood sugar levels. Please send me fasting blood sugar levels report.
3) Another possibility is stress. Let me know if she is in stress due to exams, professional or family issues. These stress factors cause hairloss, delayed periods and weight gain.
4) Let me know information about above mentioned questions so that I can advice further.

I'll have the sugar levels tested. she is under tremendous stress at work right now.
Brief Answer:
Please reduce stress levels
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for additional information.
Please get sugar levels tested as discussed.
All these problems are related to stress levels. Please sit and discuss with her as to how best she can reduce work stress or even option of changing work as her work stress is affecting her health and life in a significant negative way. She might develop still more problems if stress is continued for a long time.
Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Dr. Soumya

thanks for the word of caution doctor. is there some lab test for stress levels? does it reflect in blood?
Brief Answer:
Stress cannot be measured in laboratory by blood test
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Stress levels cannot be measured in the laboratory. It is the dialogue between body and mind. Only ill effects produced by it can be measured like diabetes or hypertension etc..
It is important for a person to be stress free and happy as mental health bears its impact on physical health and long term mental stress spoils physical health also.
