Brief Answer:
Cervical spine imaging is necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Most commonly that distribution of pain after an accident is related to muscles strain, however in rare cases, a small vertebral fracture or traumatic herniated disc disease may be the culprit.

It is necessary for imaging of the cervical spine (X-rays and MRI) in order to understand better this condition.

Please discuss with your primary care Doctor about getting these imaging test done.

Treatment depends on the diagnosis.

If above conditions will be excluded, current treatment is okay.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Kind regards.
