Brief Answer:
Stress test is needed

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Chest discomfort may have different causes, such as cardiovascular, gastric, costochondritis, spine problems, etc.
In case of heart causing chest discomfort, it usually starts on physical exertion and is relieved with stopping it.
If it caused by gastric or esophageal problems, it usually starts after eating, especially when you lie down after eating, it can be also, when you are fasting for a long time.
If the discomfort is caused by costochondritis, spine problems usually it hurts while pressing on that area, the intensity is changed with movements, posture and respiration.
All these give us a clue to find out the cause.
But we also need tests for a final diagnosis.
Your doctor ordered nuclear stress test for you to rule out cardiac problems. It is very informative test, so my advice will be to undergo the test, so it will be clear if it is a heart problem or not.

Take care
