What Causes Constant Ringing In The Ears?

Question: Hi, 2 weeks ago I somehow got an item of food lodged into my right ear and was unable to get it out. Due to how uncomfortable it was I went to a&e to try and solve the issue. The nurse there managed to get the piece of food out, but used an instrument which seemed to push it further down my ear first, and then when she did manage to get it out caused huge pain to my ear, as well as some bleeding. I took amoxicillin and ibuprofen for a week, but after around 2 days (once the pain had gone), i started experiencing a ringing in the ear, and have since at various times been able to hear whoosing and my pulse through the affected ear. I can also only hear faintly out of it now. I have sinced visited a doctor who said both my ears are equally blocked with wax, with the dried blood also visible in the right one. But they say nothing can be done at the moment to the right ear in case it's perforated, which they cannot tell due to the blockage. And they also are recommending no irrigation or olive oil drops because of this possibility. Do you know why I am hearing this constant ringing through the right ear, aswell as occasionally the pulse when its very quiet, and when this will go away? Thanks, XXXXXXX

If it's just due to trauma in the ear will this mean the ringing will go away soon? and how long will this take? Just a bit stressed at the moment that it's a permanent problem

But ive already had the ringing for over a week, or do you mean the ringing will go away a week from now?

Sorry a a few final questions. Do you think then that there may be ear wax impacted against the drum caused by the nurse getting out the food and this may be why there is ringing? And will this definitely go once the wax is removed? And if the ear is perforated how long can i expect the ringing to last?
