Brief Answer:
It could be viral and hoarseness is common

Detailed Answer:
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

Cough and cold are viral 95% of the times in children. For cold you can use anti-allergics like cetirizine and for nose block, saline nasal decongestants will do. Paracetamol can be given in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly that too only if fever is more than 100F. I suggest not using combination medicines for fever, especially with Paracetamol.

Nasivion-Mini contains oxymetazoline which is not recommended at this age. 7 months is not an age to use any cough suppressants too, as cough is a protective reflex. Please stop Nasivion-Mini.

If you can get back to me with the weight of your kid, I would be able to suggest you the dosages and preparations.

Hoarse voice is quite common in this age during cough and cold. But if the kid is having fast breathing (more than 50 per minute) or if he is very uncomfortable or if he is not feeding well, I suggest you go to the nearest emergency room, as it could be a stridor.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
