Question: i have a cough with yellowish sticky sputum production. I lost my voice about 5 days ago. No fever. Heavy chested. No chest pain.

I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
This could be lower respiratory infection. Loss of voice could be due to vocal cord edema.
I recommend the following.
1) Avoid smoking.
2) Plenty of fluids to hydrate the respiratory mucosa.
3) Voice rest to promote healing.
4) A course of antibiotics.
5) An expectorant cough syrup.
6) Nebulization.
