i have mild cough not very often , it is wet cough
no pain over cheeks
cold i dont think, but mucus comes from throat
today alone i observed mucus color , not so much, but little is coming
mucus comes from past few days
i had throat infection 2 days back, i gargled with salt water and it got cured
didnt try any medicine after fever medicine which i tuk last to last monday
no i dont have nose bleeding anytime
am heaving head ache from morning. i guess its because of sleepless/restless XXXXXXX

Mucus may be due to upper respiratory tract infection. Mucus comes because of throat infection.
I suggest you mucolytic cough syrup like Ascoril expectorant twice a day. This is a prescribed medication.
Along with I suggest you anti histamine levo cetrizine once a day for 3 days. It will available over the counter.
Continue steam inhalation.
Get enough sleep. If you are having severe headache then I suggest you Dolo 650 mg after food. Use it sparingly.
