Brief Answer:
Finger exercises along with muscle relaxant drug

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The best way to prevent cramps is by finger exercises,if allowed by your treating doctor. If forearm is not covered by cast, hot water fomentation along with the muscle relaxant drug thiocolchicoside will help. You may get it prescribed from your local doctor.
Hope this suffices.
Take care
