What Causes Pain After Inserting Metal Plate Inside Wrist?

I had wrist surgery 7 months ago and had a metal plate inserted to help heal the bone. I have some pain along the plate line. I ve tried massaging to remove scar tissue, but it doesn t appear to get any better. If I get the plate removed, will the pain go away?

Hello,

I think removing the plate will be good but 7 months is too early. We need to wait at least for a year and based on the x-ray report we should take a call. Because if the bone is not healed then removing will never be advised. For now, trying icing and simple gentle massaging will help ease the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
