What Causes Cramps In The Fingers?

trigger finger
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting the question.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.
From the symtoms that you have mentioned,it seems that you may be suffering from an entity called "trigger finger".In this condition, the tendon sheath of the tendon responsible for moving the finger inwards (flexors) is thickened.
This leads to stricture of the sheath causing locking of the finger movements in certain position.Once you force to straighten the finger then, again the movements become free.
I would suggest you to get a high resolution Ultrasound / MRI of the finger to confirm the diagnosis. Consult a orthopedist for further treatment.
Do not lift anything heavy. Avoid strenous activity with the affected fingers.
Taking anti inflammatory tablets with application of local gel followed by hot fomentation .
If there is no improvement in the symptoms with these measures, the doctor may give a local steroid injection at the affected site.
Resistant cases may need a surgical release operation for permanent cure.
I hope the answer was useful.
Feel free to ask me any follow up queries that you may have.
Thank you.
Kind regards.
