What Causes Crusty Scab Inside Nostril, Heavy Breathing And Bleeding After Cocaine Usage?
Question: I have been taking cocine for over 10 years at first socially but now probably four times a week, my nose is crusted, heavy breathing, sore and bleeding I think I have damaged my nose, help

I have read your query and understand your concern.
One f the most common and significant effects of longterm use of cocaine is damage to the nose resulting in septal perforation. This is a hole in septum.
Nose has a very delicate and fragile blood supply which gets shut off on continued use of cocaine. This results in death of tissues of your septum.
Once the tissues and lining of septum dies,then it can no longer support the underneath cartilage resulting in its death. This results in development of hole in septum which in turn can result in collapse of your nose.
Nose bleeds,nasal congestions ,nasal discharges are the most initial signs of imminent septal perforation.
If perforation has not occurred,then simple stoppage of cocaine would heal your nose but if perforation has occurred,then only a surgery can fix it.
Stop using cocaine immediately and consult an ENT specialist immediately.
