What Causes Cyst Of 2.2cm In Left Ovary?
Question: I have a cyst in my left ovary that measures 2.2 cm. What can be done about it? Also, I have burning in the right side of my abdomen, gas and bloating. my abdomen is swollen and I look pregnant. i am 65 years old. I had a mri in XXXXXXX that measured the cyst, they said my right ovary was unremarkable, however my right side feels infected. I believe my appendices rupture a while back. My symptoms include fever, swollen abdomen and constant pain in my right side. All I ever get from the Doctors is that if that happened i would be dead. I am afraid that this is going to turn into something else. I have always been an active person and my last visit to my Dr, he told me to lose weight. The rest of my body is slim and it is quite obvious that something is not right. Help.

What is your current weight and height ?
A 2.2 cm cyst on the ovary cannot cause such severe symptoms, such a small cyst only has to be followed up.
Can you upload the MRI results please ?
It is true that if your appendix had ruptured , you would be in florid septicemia ( infection ) and most definitely hospitalized terminally, it cannot be treated without surgery.
However you might be having an infected appendix, that can explain all your symptoms.
After the MRI, were you looked at by a gynaecologist and a surgeon ?
That much should be done.

A 2.2 cm cyst on the ovary cannot cause such severe symptoms, such a small cyst only has to be followed up.
Can you upload the MRI results please ?

MRI OF THE PELVIS WITH GADOLINIUM,,FEMALE PELVIS MASS PROTOCOL
Comparison: Pelvic ultrasound from Concordia Hospital December 10,2013 and the CT abdomen and pelvis with contrast from the Misericordia Hospital September 22nd 2009.
The uterus is anteverted and measure 6.2 cm in length. The endometrium is thin.
2.2 cm simple cyst is noted within the left ovary. In retrospect this was present on the CT exam from 2009 and it has not significant changed in size. the right ovary is unremarkable.
There is no lymphadenopathy or free fluid.
IMPRESSION:
Stable left ovarian cyst sine the CT exam from 2009.

In regards to my appendices I had a test a few years back . i had to drink some contrast before they did the test. It was determined that I had a descended cecum. This again is my right side. I believe that the cecum is the bottom portion of the appendices, also, where my pain is coming from.
