What Causes Dark Or Black Spots On Labia?

Monitor for now!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these dark spots that you discovered and all the disturbing thoughts this must have caused you. The most common cause of black spots on the skin as we grow older are spontaneous bleed into the skin from minor traumas that may not be obvious to us. This usually clears up after some time or remains stable for long with no additional symptoms. For now, I will recommend that you monitor these black spots. If they should stay stable with no other symptom over time or regress significantly, there would be no need to seek for further medical attention.
However, should they increase in number and or size, with any other symptom like itches, I will recommend that you get them checked out by your OBGYN then.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

For now, NO!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for following up with me.
For now, this is unlikely to be cancer. Cancer presents over time and never just pops over night. Monitoring would always draw our attention to whether this could be cancer or not. For instance, if it increases in size, has itchy and other color changes, then we may start thinking of such. At this time there is very little information to suggest so.
Keep a relaxed mind about this. My first impression is that this would go away without any specific treatment. If this fails, I will suggest that we evaluate by a complete examination and why not a biopsy if we are in doubts or we have reasons to suspect a possible cancer.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information if need be.
