Question: I RECENTLY HAD KNEE SURGERY, AND NOW HAVE A DARK RED, UNDER THE SKIN INFECTION ON
MY RIGHT ARM. IT IS ABOUT 2" LONG. DOES IT NEED ATTENTION?
I recently had a flu shot, and correction....it is my left arm not my right.

It is purpura, bleed under skin.
Such occasional purpuras are common and are harmless.
There is nothing to worry.
I treat such cases with heparin gel.
It gives good response within a week.
You can try this in consultation with your doctor.
If you develop such rash again get your platelet levels checked.
As for now there is nothing to worry.
