What Causes Delayed Menstruation In A 30 Year Old Woman?
Question: Hi, I am 30 yr old woman. Last month, I had my periods by 15th. Thereafter, I had protected sex around 25th of the same month. My periods were due to be on 15th of this month, however, I haven't got my periods yet. What could be the possible cause for the delay and why is it delayed.

Have you taken I pill or any other such medications ?
Period delay could be due to pregnancy, stress, anxiety, weight changes, unaccustomed exercise, late nights, smoking, drinking etc.

Hi,
I do have regular periods. I didn't took any pills, as protection was used and it was safe sex.
None of the causes mentioned are applicable. Till when basically, the periods can be due, which means till what date if I get my periods are safe, post which I get my periods are unsafe.
Kindly advise.

This is just mild hormonal imbalance, you can wait for 7 - 10 days for your periods.
After that consult a gynec and go for ultrasound scan to know the disturbance.
Progesterone tablets can be taken to jumpstart your new period.
