What Causes Diarrhea And Nausea After Following A Diet Plan To Lose Weight?

Moms always concerned about their daughters
Detailed Answer:
The calculations say your daughter should weigh 125 lbs, but I have always found that to be on the very thin level. What your daughter wants to reach for as far as goal weight is something realistic and achievable. Also, your daughter stopped eating the foods you mentioned because they are carbohydrates that tend to put weight on not take it off. Bananas, potato are starchy and she does not need them. Watermelon, papaya and muskmelon are fine. One thing that causes the nausea is going from a low fiber diet to a higher fiber diet without a gradual introduction of the fiber. You cant go from low fiber to high fiber overnight. Chapati, wheat, is fine, but portion control. She needs 5 starch servings,56 g protein (if vegetarian, 1/2 cup beans cooked so they arent gassey, 1 egg, 1 oz meat = 7 g, 1/4- 1/2 cup curd 2 milk servings (1 cup milk = about 8 g protein), 2 1/2 cup cooked vegies very soft, none raw at this point until she is used to fiber, 2 servings of fruit (1 small piece or 1/2 cup is serving) and 2 tsp of fat,( mostly virgin olive oil, 1/8 sl of avocodo) that equals about 1200 kcal. Also exercise routine, regular 30 minutes 5x per week or 150 minutes per week total every single week. Heart rate should be 70% or 220 - 25 =195 x .7= 137.5 or 140 beats per minute after warm up try to spend 20 continuous minutes at 140 heart beats per minute, then follow by a cool down and light stretch. As far as your wonderful home made meal, it depends on how the home meals are prepared ( preferably low fat, low calorie cookin), no seconds, learn correct portion sizes by measuring all foods until she can look at a serving and know how much she is eating. Did I address all of your concerns? I hope so.Please come back to see me if any clarifications are needed. Thank you for using HCM.

I am so happy she is having immediate success! I hope that soon she reaches her goal weight, then she can gradually add calories back to maintain her weight and so that she does not gain the weight she lost back again. I am so happy for your daughter!!!:) XXXXXXX Shattler, MS,RDN
