What Causes Difficulty In Passing Urine?

Question: A son of mine has problems urinating. Has the sensation to go but has problems with it.
Brief Answer:
Tell me the problem in details.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
Kindly let me know the age of your son and also what kind of exact problem he is facing while passing urine.
As you said he has sensations means urge to pass urine but problem to void urine.
Is it inability to pass urine?
Is it painful urination or sensations of pain while passing urine?
Is it burning during urination?
Is that urinary incontinence?
Can you tell me the problem and other important medical history (if any) to have a better view to answer your query?
Thanks and Regards,

Just problems urinating, with some pain in stomach. He is 21.
Brief Answer:
Important thing is to diagnose first.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If your son is facing difficulty in passing urine or pain in lower abdomen,it might be due to
1) urinary tract infection or
2) blockage/obstruction to the urethra due to stone,scare tissue,growth, tumour,stone or
3) nerve disorder like neurogenic bladder as a result of disruption of nerves between bladder and brain etc.
The important thing is to diagnose the underlying cause.
Your son should undergo routine blood and urine investigations with ultrasound of KUB or urethroscopy.
You must consult urologist for complete medical history and thoroughly clinical examination to get it diagnosed first.
