General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The cause of recurrent UTI is neurogenic bladder obviously as there is residual urinary retention with space for microbes to develop in the retained urine as well as a secondary infection from self-catheterization.

The management depends upon cure of the neurogenic bladder, which if feasible can be okay otherwise artificial bladder is the best option with urosurgeon.

Would like to discuss the case in thorough details as I am a consultant surgeon and handling the same issues since decades.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
