What Causes Difficulty Swallowing While On Eliquis Indicate?

Question: I take eliquis as a blood thinner as I had a post operative embolism. I read that difficulty swallowing is a side effect and I have been having a slight difficulty swallowing for about two weeks. Is there cause for concern?
