default
Posted on Mon, 2 Feb 2015
Question: My jowel area is very full feeling and it is creating fullness in my ears as well. I think it is sinus but am concerned that it may be glandular. I have to adjust my jaw many times each hour to clear the fullness in my jowels and ears.

Brief Answer:
eustachian tube dysfunction

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having episodic ear fullness.

As per your clinical details, it appears to be Eustachian (tube connecting the middle ear and nose) tube dysfunction secondary to your sinus infection (not related to any gland).

I suggest you to consult ent surgeon and get detailed ent examination (deviated nasal septum, polyp), audiometry (to know the status of ear drum (retracted), to see any fluid behind the intact ear drum. depending on the examination reports further treatment is required accordingly.

Meantime, do valsalva exercises (watch you tube video), chew chewing gum and continue steam inhalation for opening of ears.

If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
