What Causes Discomfort Sensation In Ears Along With Ear Bleeding?
Question: hi, and ty. this morn I felt like my left ear was stopped. got q tip and soaked in alcohol . was vry gentle. removed and no ear wax , but inge of pinkish blood.. did same to other eear and that came out no wax and red blood on ip. have always had sinus prob . consistently have to blow nose . can u help ??

With a history of sinus disease, it is possible that the fullness is related to eustachian tube dysfunction which is abnormal function of the eustachian tube.
This is a tube that connects the middle ear with the nasopharynx( part of back of the throat).
It has different functions but one of these is the regulation of pressure in the ear. When it is not working well, it can cause fullness in the ear.
Other symptoms that may occur in some persons are hearing loss, ringing or other abnormal sounds in the ear.
It can occur in different situations including sinus disease, cough/cold, ear infections
You can try using an oral antihistamine along with oral decongestants to see if it helps.
In some persons , it is mainly monitoring till the symptoms resolve.
With your sinus disease, the use of a nasal spray may also help. Eg flonase, rhinocort, nasonex, nasocort.
