What Causes Discomfort While Urinating?
Question: Hi,
From past few days I have been experiencing slight discomfort in urinating. I have noticed that the volume of urine has also decreased and its mostly yellowish instead of usually white in color.
Is that a cause of concern or is it a temporary?
As an additional information, I was on a 10 days course of CEFTUM 500 mg antibiotic from 19-Jan to 28 XXXXXXX (2 tablets a day) for tonsillitis.

Brief Answer:
Discomfort while urinating is due to concentrated urine
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have discomfort while passing urine and colour of urine is yellowish.
This mostly due to your urine being concentrated which is always secondary to less water intake
Since you have been taking Ceftum twice daily and as it also covers up the UTI there is no need to take any more antibiotics.
Take urine alkaliser thrice daily.
Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
