What Causes Dizziness Along With Altered BP Reading And Pulse Rate?
Question: My husband is 48 and hasn't felt great for the last week, but woke up this morning feeling really bad. He felt queasy, dizzy and just plain horrible. I went to CVS and purchased a blood pressure cuff and had him sit up in bed and his pressure was 148/101 with a pulse of 44. I'm not sure if he just has a virus,no fever, or if I should be concerned about his pressure. He has never been diagnosed with hypertension but his regular pressure is approx. 148/80 with a pulse of about 55. Should I be concerned? I'm not sure if I should leave him to go to work today or take him to urgent care or just see how he feels later.
Brief Answer:
Hello. He needs to be seen right away
Detailed Answer:
Hello, welcome to HCM,
I'm very concerned about this since he may be having a heart attack, considering his symptoms and the low pulse rate. Even if he isn't having much in the way of chest pain, this sounds cardiac to me.
He needs to get to Urgent care or to an ER now.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
Regards
