Question: the first time last week I was not able to complete my one hour exercise routine in four months. this used to happen to me once a month. At times, I felt dizzy and my heart beat faster. This only happens when I exert myself; otherwise no problem. I am 67. my heart pressure was yesterday 117/118 and my pulse was normal.

Brief Answer:
consider stress testing

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

During exertion the heart has the work harder, it is not usual for the heart rate to increase because it is trying to meet the increased demands of the muscles and other soft tissue but dizziness should not occur.

At age 67, the maximum heart rate during activity may range from 75 to 128 beats per minute.

As mentioned dizziness is not a normal occurrence and because of this it would be best to consider a stress test.
A stress test assesses the heart during physical activity. It would be able to see if there are any abnormal rhythms of the heart and also determine if there are areas with decreased blood supply.

If the heart is not able meet demands then there may be a temporary decrease supply to the organs including the brain.
This temporary reduction would cause dizziness.

Your doctor may also consider a full blood count to rule out anemia. This can also cause dizziness.

I hope this helps , feel free to ask any other questions
