What Causes Dizziness, Lightheadedness, Insomnia And Temperature Issues?

default
Posted on Wed, 15 Jun 2016
Question: I have been having problems with temperature for the past 6+ months. I am either sweating or freezing, regardless of the temperature of my house. The past week this is getting worse and worse, I even over heated at my typical gym class last week and was sick all day because of it. Recently I'm feeling dizzy and light headed, and had to leave an outdoor fair after an hour because I couldn't take the heat. I'm extremely tired, but have a VERY hard time falling asleep at night. The past week, the symptoms have been really impacting my life. My insurance hasn't started yet, but I'm afraid I'm being stupid just letting this go.

Brief Answer:
could be a thyroid issue

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
It sounds like you may be having a problem with your thyroid gland. Unfortunately there is no way to determine exactly what is going on without seeing a doctor and getting blood tests. I suggest that you try to get in to see a doctor or go to an urgent care as soon as possible. It is not an emergency but not something that you want to ignore for a prolonged period of time. Make sure you stay well hydrated and take a multiitamin daily.
Get in to see a doctor in the next week or so.
I hope you get some answers soon
