Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I need to have some more information from you in order to understand if this is something to worry about.
First (and this is important)- how old are you and are you male or female?
How did you hit your head? Did you sleep in the following hours after the incident?
What other symptoms except dizziness did you had?
Have you had congestion lately? Has your nose mucosa been irritated for some reason?
Do you have the habit of putting your fingers or other things in your nose?
Do you have chronic problems from which you suffer from?
Do you take any medication?
I am sorry for the any questions but each of them helps me rule out important causes of the nose bleed. Feel free to share with me any other information, other then that above, that you think may be relevant.
Looking forward to your follow up question.
Regards,
Dr. Papaqako

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up question and the information you provided.
From what you are describing it seems to me nothing to worry about.
I don't think that the nose bleed is related to your trauma in the head, because a bleeding for just 5 min is very superficial. Most probably it has happened because of an injury of a superficial vessel in your mucosa of the nose.
Also, your other symptoms seem mild and do not indicate a concussion which is a possible damage in the brain.
My recommendations are:
- Do not blow your nose. Apply Vaseline or a cream with a cotton tip gently at the mucosa of the nose so it will be moisturized and will heal faster.
- Apply ice at the lump in your head if you have pain and if needed take an Ibuprofen 400mg as needed.
I hope it makes sense and that I have been of help.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Dr. Papaqako
