Triamterene may be responsible
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. I read your query and understood your concern.
Dizziness can occur due to many reasons. You have dizziness since few months. You are on escitalopram since 5 years and norvazac since 3 years. No possibility that dizziness is side effect of these drugs.
You have started Triamterene HCTZ just before 6 months and dizziness is also there since few months so possibility of side effect of Triamterene is there. It is due to low blood pressure. Drug may cause reduction in blood pressure more than the required. There is need of measurement of blood pressure when you feel dizziness need we need to check that any correlation with Triamterene is there or not.
If Triamterene is not culprit we need to rule out other causes of dizziness through proper ENT and neurological evaluation.
Betahistine tablet may help in such dizziness.
And at last if everything is fine, anxiety is only cause responsible.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
