What Causes Dry Tongue And Altered Taste In Mouth?

Question: Sir,
I am XXXXXX XXXXXXX ,46 years, residing in Tindivanam,Tamilnadu.I feel my tongue bitter feel /dry feel from the morning. Not too high little bitterness is there. No fever. Sometimes, there is some sneezing.My doctor has prescribed me to take FEBREX PLUS (Tab),SAFEPRAZ PLUS (Cap),SUPERIA(Tab) for 5 Days.Today ,I completed the medicines. But, no improvement. What may the reason for bitterness/dry feels in tongue and also sneezing some times in a day ? ? Please give me a further advise.

Hi Mam,

I understand your concern.

You seem to have Allergic rhinosinusitis .

This can contribute to symptoms like altered taste sensation.

Since you have not responded to the symptomatic treatment,I advise you to take an antibiotic like Amoxiclav 625 mg twice a day for 5 days.

This should be supplemented with Tab Sinarest once a day at bedtime.

Please note these drugs have to be taken in consultation with your primary physician.

Rhinosinusitis can make the tongue dry.

The above drug regimen will help to control your symptoms in most cases.

You need to continue all the prescribed medicines by your doctor except Febrex plus which can be substituted with Tab Sinarest along with Tab Amoxiclav 625 mg.
